life update: this past week has been jam-packed with things to do, people to call, and forms to sign. my gf and i started the month by getting the keys to our new apartment. we’re paying double rent for the old and the new places because the idea was to use this whole month to deep clean. however, on the 2nd, we woke up with bed bugs.

on top of onboarding for two new jobs–one part-time, one prn–i now had to juggle scheduling inspections, working the final two weeks of my previous job, and cleaning the apartments! designing and coding my website has been a respite during these trying times. my first day is next week and my second first day is the second after that. a lot of changes this month without any breathing room. luckily for me, my gf has been amazing through it all and whenever we have a row, we always make up in the same night. wahoo!

music update: hayley williams’s ego death at a bachelorette party. my favorite tracks are “brotherly love”, “dream girl in shibuya”, “parachute”, and “whim”!

writing update: no new words written since july i think. i spent august reading nonfiction books as ‘research’ and accidentally started a spree. forgot what i started reading for, tbh.

reading update: the feather thief by kirk wallace johnson. this comes after reading the art thief by michael finkel and the falcon thief by joshua hammer. i’m collecting them all.
