weekly round-up

life update: the saga of the old apartment has ENDED! despite giving ourselves a MONTH to clean things up, we were unable to finish the checklist to the extent that we had planned. but im hopeful that my gf would at least get a portion of her security deposit back after charges.

we’re settling in nicely with this neighborhood. we got 2nd place at trivia night and won a gift certificate! it was my first time ever, and our first time as a team. we sat in a booth next to the trivia host and he thought we were very sweet the whole time ahahah. he’s seen plenty of teams get into fights about answers. a few of my gf’s friends were able to swing by to see the new place too! my friends live far enough that it’s a whole Day trip for them so we’re still figuring out the schedule.

life update: well pretty much all of the boxes have been unpacked! the next step is getting rid of them. i’ve given a few to my dad to store in his attic, but we still have a bunch left. lowkey i want to recycle them instead of keeping them around to use much, much later. we have tables set up for our studio !!! gf installed hanging shelves too. we’re thinking of returning the futon we got the first week here (should’ve gone with the air mattress first instead of trying our luck). the seat depth is non-existent and it’s not very comfy to sit on. cant read on it. cant play guitar for shit.
